Fastest Path To Cash
If you are new to your business, or even if you have been in business for a while, as an entrepreneur, you need to be able to create cash in your business. What happens with most business owners is that when they need cash, they frantically start looking for shiny object to rescue them. They go on the internet, look at how someone has made money in their business, and try to implement whatever strategy they think has worked for someone else, hoping it would help them breakthrough their income struggles.
Let me share with you the mistakes I have made and lessons I have learned when I didn’t know how to create cash in my business. I launched a product, and it didn’t sell. It was a great product, but it wasn’t a great time to launch the product. I spent so much time and energy in launching the product and I felt disheartened, even questioned my value for a while. (Will share more about it later on in my newsletter)
I followed a mentor’s advice, with whom I had invested over 5 figures, and promoted a low price group program; although it had a few people in the program it didn’t make quite as much money as I needed to cover my expenses and the time and energy I put into it.
Now, what is the reason that my launches failed and my programs didn’t make the money I needed? There are stages every service business goes through to reach the level where they are ready to launch products and leverage their time to group programs. There are steps they need to reach before they can focus on writing and on-line marketing.
Now, after making many mistakes in my own business, what I have learned is that the first thing you need to focus on is cash flow in your business. Having the cash flow to pay your bills and cover your business expenses will give you time and energy to focus on creating group programs. It will also give you money to invest in a great database to capture on-line leads, build your list and create an on-line presence. Focusing on these activities sooner will leave you frustrated and even question the value of your products and programs. You are not doing anything wrong; you are just doing it in the wrong order.
To create immediate cash flow, you need to get clear on your message, your market and create a great signature speech to get in front of your targeted audiences and offer discovery sessions. From discovery session, you need to enroll your ideal clients into one-on-one working relationship with you in a high end (solution to their problems) private program. That will give you cash flow. If you are insecure about charging for a high end program and think that it would be difficult to charge more money and that it is easier to sell a $10 product, or sell a group program. That is not so. People buy you, your energy, and the results you provide. When they see how you can relieve their pain, the investment is secondary.
And while you are creating cash flow and working with your clients one-on-one, you are getting confidence and experience to write your newsletter, create products while getting paid, and build your tribe to enroll in group programs. There are a lot of benefits to doing the right things in the right order at the right time. You are building your way to long term cash in your business while building credibility and getting known as an expert.
To get one-on-one clients to work with you, you need to create a great speech with an excellent solution and present it in front of your targeted audiences and enroll them into having a discovery session right at your talk. If you are shy about speaking, once you are clear about your message, your targeted audiences, the solution you provide and where to find the people who want to invest with you, your fear for public speaking will dissipate.
